1 INGREDIENTS
- White radish (safed mooli), grated 2 1/2 cups
- Oil 4 tbsp
- Cardamom (ajwain)seeds 1/2 tsp
- Cumin seeds (jeera) 1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Asafoetida (hing) a pinch
- Turmeric (haldi) powder 1/2 tsp
- Ginger Powder (saunth) 1/2 tsp
- Aniseed (saunf) powder 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli powder (optional) 1/2 tsp
- Green chilli, chopped 1
- Juice fo lemon (nimbu) 1
- Walnuts (akhrot), curshed 1/4 cup
2 COOKING DIRECTIONS
- Heat the oil in a pan, add cardamom seeds, cumin seeds, salt and asafoetida.
- Stir for 30 seconds, then add the radish.
- Cook over a medium flame till the water evaporates and the oil separates.
- Add turmeric, ginger, aniseed and red chilli powders, the green chilli and lemon juice.
- Cook for about 5 minutes, then add the walnuts.
